Caves and Kidney Stones

On Saturday we decided to go hike up to the Timpanogous Cave. We were so excited to get out and be active. Little did we know how hard it would actually be! It took us about an hour or longer to hike up to the cave. It was a tough hike, but we did it! Kayson did so well walking up. We had him in our front carrier and he slept most of the way up. Once we got in the cave however he had a little bit of a harder time. He didn't enjoy being in the dark very much. The way back down he did well too, he even started laughing when I would walk and bounce him! It was a fun experience, and Im so glad we got to do it! Here are the pictures we took along the way!
Gettin all ready for the big hike!
(Yes, we put him in backwards, but we fixed it!)
I got tired pretty quick, so Todd took over Kayson and the backpack! What a stud!

Little man slept most of the way up even with a little rain fallin on him!

A view of how high we hiked! You can see the tiny road down there somewhere!

Kayson loved goin up he thought it was pretty easy haha!

We finally made it yippee!

We bundled Kayson up pretty good, the cave was so cold inside!

Inside the cave, we got to experience TOTAL darkness it was crazy! We couldn't even see our hand right infront of our face!

I just had to throw this in there. This is Kays after his bath all bundled up in his towel! He is so cute and funny in his bath and after!

On Sundy during church, I started having really bad pains in my left side and back. After about a half hour of tryin to ignore the pain I couldn't handle it anymore and went and pulled Todd out of class. After seein how much pain I was in he rushed me to the ER at LDS Hospital thinkin maybe my appendix was bursting. When we got there they put me on some morphine, did a CT Scan and discovered that I had a Kidney Stone in my left Kidney 6mm! They then gave me some pain meds and sent me home to pass it. I have never had a kidney stone before, and Ill tell you what, it hurt worse than bein in labor!! Ouch!

Your pics of the hike are cute! Lucky you had someone to take pictures of all of you together.

So is Kays liking the bath again?

Thanks for hanging out with us this weekend. We think you guys are kinda awesome.

PS do you ever read Kayson nursery rhymes? I especially like the one about the "Peed Piper". Haha.

Hey, wanted to let you know why I left you kinda hangin the other day when I was leaving Jessica's. I ran out to put that in her oven while Covey was crying and screaming or I would've come over to say hi. Anyway, didn't want you to think I was a jerk.
