Random Cuteness!

Everett is now 3 1/2 months old!! Man this is going by too fast! He weighs in at a whopping 17 lbs and is in the 98th percentile! He is such a happy fun baby! He smiles all the time and is just starting to laugh. He loves jabbering. He will just sit and talk to us for a long time. He loves standing up and hates bending to sit.

Everett is starting to grab at things now so he always ends up taking his binki out of his mouth but then starts to cry because he wants his binki back in. (I love that he takes his binki, Kayson didn't want anything to do with them.) He also loves sucking on his hands but hasn't quite found his thumb.

Everett can sit up in his bumbo now but doesn't like it because his thighs are just too chunky.

One of these things is not like the other.........

We went to Old Navy the other week and Kayson loved the mannequins! He stayed up there for a good 15 minutes touching them all and petting the dog! I didn't even notice how perfect he fit in with his Old Navy jacket until later when I was looking back at the pictures!

Kayson is now potty trained!!!! Yippee!! It's been sooo nice! He did it really easily this time too. We just put him in some big boy underwear one day and kept telling him that he couldn't pee or poop in them and that he needed to tell us when he needed to go. The first week he only had about 5 accidents and now he rarely has an accident! We are so proud of him! He even likes to use the urinals in the men's room!

Everett is such a good sleeper! He will actually sleep in his bassinet! He has even slept through the night twice! He is starting to get too big for it though, so it's off to his room soon.

Kayson LOVES to cook! Here he is helping dad make some dinner. I just love this face he is making! Kayson is such a funny boy and loves to make us laugh!

Halloween 2011

Hallween this year was so much fun. Kayson was so excited to go trick-or-treating all month! He is very into The Lion King right now and begged to be Simba for Halloween. I was so excited when I found his really cute lion costume for cheap! He loved every minute of Hallween from dressing up, to putting on his costume and getting free candy! On the Friday before we went to our ward's Trunk-or-Treat. Kayson had soo much fun running around to all the different cars and saying "Trick-orTreat!" He would even say "Thank you," and Rawrrrrr at everyone. (Ok so everyonce in a while I think he got confused cuz he ended up meowing at a few people.) He even wanted to try and go through the haunted house they had set up but once we got close enough and they opened the door he saw the strobe lights going and didn't want anything to do with it.

I can't believe my baby is almost 3 weeks old!! Last week we took him to his 2 week dr. Appointment and he weighs 9 pounds 8 ounces and is still 21 inches. He is such a good baby. We love having him as part of our family!

The birth story:

We went to my 38 week Dr. appointment on wednesday August 24th at 4:15 p.m. I was dialated to 4 cm and 80 % effaced, so I asked Dr. Ward if he would strip my membranes to get things going. He said that since I had already made progress he would probably see me again at the hospital in 12 hours. We were super excited and anxious to see if this would work. We got home and my Dad came over to pick up Kayson for some ice cream. By this time (5:45) I had started to get some contractions. Todd and I decided we should probably clean up the house a little bit and pack our bags just in case tonight was the night. After cleaning and packing the bags I got in the shower and when I got out I thought the contractions were dying down a bit so Todd told me to go run up and down the stairs and walk back and forth to get them to pick up again. Well about 8:45 they were getting pretty painful and were staying at about 3-5 minutes apart so I decided to call my Mom to see if she could come help with Kayson. After my mom got here we loaded up and drove to LDS Hospital. We got checked in at about 9:30 p.m. and I was now at 5 cm. I got my epidural around 10:30 and felt much better. Kayson was there and just loving every minute of everything. He wanted to be so involed and was asking "what's that?" "What are they doing?" He even begged to watch me get the epidural but had to stay on the other side of the curtain. Around 2:30 a.m. I started getting extremely painful contractions again and when the nurse checked me I was ready to push. Todd had left the room to update his family so I had my mom go find him and tell him it was time. After Todd got back in the room the nurse left to go call the Dr. and didn't come back.... The contractions were extremely painful and I had the feeling like my baby was gonna come out on his own. So after 10 minutes Todd called the nurse and told her to come back in and check and make sure the baby wasn't just gonna pop out. At 3:08 a.m. on August 25th Everett made his way into this world with two big pushes. He weighed 8 lbs 4 oz and was 21 inches long. He was really purple when he first came out and kept holding his breath so they had to put some oxygen on him to get him breathing better and to turn pink. I loved experiencing going into labor on my own this time and loved every minute of it. I wish I could just skip the pregnancy part and go straight to delivery!!! I have been so lucky to have 2 extremely easy deliveries!! Kayson was there in the room for the whole thing but ended up falling asleep just before 1 a.m. and slept through the entire delivery!! We woke him up to meet his new little brother after he was born but he was just too tired and confused, so he was screaming the whole time.

Spring Time

Here is my cute lil cowboy Kayson! He LOVES riding around on his toy horse wearing his cowboy hat. When he is riding he yells out "Giddyup Horsey!" and "Ridin Cowboy!" He also loves to dance around to the song She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy.....which he calls Tractor Sessy!

Kayson sure loves Cheetos. One day we caught him hiding in the fridge eating his Cheetos. Silly boy!

For St. Patrick's Day Kayson helped me make green German Pancakes...MMMMM......

Kayson likes to climb into the empty diaper boxes and drive them. He also enjoys hiding from us in them.

Kayson LOVES art. He was so excited when they had a picture for him to color at the Ward's Easter Egg Hunt.

And the hunt is on!! He loved running around finding as many eggs as he could.

Kayson's little smirk when he discovered "Bunny Poop" (jelly beans) inside one of the eggs.

Kayson is my little cheese ball. He loves the camera and getting his picture taken. If I am touching the camera at all he will run infront of me with his cute little smile and say "Cheese!"

He got to have another Easter Egg Hunt at my Grandma's, and he enjoyed every minute of it!

He is very good at the hunt now and we don't have to tell him go pick up the egg. So it was nice just watching him go and taking lots of pictures.

Kayson has a new found obsession...Daddy's phone. He knows how to navigate through that thing like it's nobody's business. He loves to play all the games and watch his shows.

Isn't he just the cutest darn thing that you ever did see?!? I sure think so!!

Kayson is also VERY excited to be a big brother. He loves his little brother so much! He is always asking to see my tummy so he can hug, kiss and talk to his brother. When we ask him what he wants to name him he tells us every time "ABC's".

Tonight some of my family came over for dinner. It was a lot of fun getting together and hanging out. After dinner we played Dance Central and the Adventure games on our Kinect. It was so fun seeing everyone playing. Here are some fun pictures of our night.

B THE MONKEY!

I decided I wanted to try and make a sock monkey... It looked simple enough, so I found some socks I bought last year and never wore. I figured out the basics and went with it. I know he is not perfect but it's my first one and I'm darn well proud of this lil guy! He needed a name of course so naturally I turned to Kayson to name him. Kayson did not hesitate before naming this little monkey B. That's right just plain ol B.

Kayson absolutely LOVES this monkey. He was hovering over me the entire time waiting for me to finish so he could have a go at him. Here is Kayson showing B to the camera.

Kayson's First Snow Day

This morning Kayson woke up to Todd saying.."Kayson wake up it snowed!" over and over until he woke up! He was so excited to go down stairs and see the snow outside! We hurried and ate breakfast and got Kayson in all his snow clothes for his first time playing in the snow! He LOVED it! He was running everywhere kicking the snow, falling down in it, throwing snowballs at Mom and building a snowman with Dad! Here are some pictures of our fun morning in the snow!

Wow has it been a long time since we posted or what??!! We have done some pretty fun things these last couple of months. We went to the State Fair A LOT thanks to our wonderful neighbor Denise! Kayson had so much fun with all the animals and tractors. This kid was in Cowboy Heaven! Here are some random pictures from the last coupe of months....enjoy!!

Skyler's Story..

I have the greatest little nephew Skyler! He is 4 years old and one of the funniest kids I have met! He LOVES his Mommy, playing his DS, camping and all his family! He is Mommy's little protector and always makes sure his mom is doing ok. He is Kayson's best friend, he has been his buddy since day one! It's so much fun to watch them grow together!

I love this kid to pieces!

On August 17, 2010 Skyler was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia. He has been sick on and off his whole life, he recently underwent two different surgeries to remove masses from his lower jaw. His mom noticed his becoming more sick about two weeks ago. He had a fever on and off for a week, his eye lids became puffy and his face started to swell. Crystal decided something was not right and on Saturday the 14th took him to the Instacare to which they just gave him an antibiotic and sent him home saying it was just allergies. (Ignoring his mothers concerns and said it didn't matter what type of allergy that it was just some sort of allergy) Well being the AMAZING mother my sister is she continued to feel that something was not right and he began to have excessive bruising that could not be explained and his belly began portruding. She decided to take him to see his Dr. on Tuesday the 17th. His Dr. determined that his liver and spleen were very swollen and told her to take him staight up to Primary Children's hospital. It did not take long after having him in the E.R. up there for them to determine what was wrong with him. That night I got that dreaded phone call from my mom that I hope to never again have to experience! Todd was so sweet and stayed home with the boys so that Summer and I could run up to the hospital to see our little boy! He was so sick and in so much pain it was heartbreaking! The following day the blood tests came back and determined that he had Leukemia type ALL. This type is the lesser of the two types but he has it bad. That afternoon he was taken into surgery to have a central line placed in his heart for his treatments and IV's. During the surgery for that they also started Chemo in his spine and took Bone Marrow from his hip. During the surgery he began to bleed from his lungs. They were able to get the bleeding under control but he still has fluid in his lungs and has to be on oxygen. His blood pressure has been extremely high the last few days and he has gained 10 lbs from all the extra fluids. He is having a hard time peeing the fluids back out and so is swollen to twice his size. It kills me to see him like this and in so much pain! We love you sooooo much Skyler and know you can be strong and fight this cancer!! Get well soon little man!! Always remember.....

Camping

A couple weeks ago My parents took our whole family to Lagoon. We had so much fun being with family, taking the little kids on rides and acting like kids ourselves. I knew Kayson would not enjoy the rides very much but decided to take him on the mini Tidal Wave anyways.......ya.....not such a good idea! He screamed the entire time! So I just let him hang out in the stroller people watching for the day and he was totally fine with that. After Lagoon we headed up to the cabin in Fairview. We got there Friday night and my family came up the next day. We had so much fun up there. My Dad is HUGE on fourwheeling so he brought his toys and took us all for rides up the mountain. Kayson hated the fourwheelers at first but by the last day when we were putting them away he couldn't seem to get enough of them!

Practice Cake

So for the past year I have been really into decorating cakes...I have not done much with decorating cakes, mainly just watching cake decorating shows and wishing I could do what they do. So I thought to myself why not do what they do? So thats exactly what I am going to be doing. My lovely niece (well my sister) has agreed to let me make her 6th birthday cake this month. Since she is totally into Tinkerbell I told her I would make her a Tinkerbell cake. Here is my practice cake to get an idea of what I should do. So thats why its not done all the way and no Tinkerbell on it yet. I used gumpaste and Luster Dust for the flowers, fondant for the grass, and buttercream frosting for the main frosting! I might say it was a delicious cake! I had my sister and her girls come look at it to let me know if thats the direction they wanted it to go and my niece absolutely loved it! That made me so happy! I love decorating cakes and hope my family totally doesn't mind me makin their b-day cakes for practice! (PS it was not supposed to be completely smooth on the frosting if anyone was wondering).

Closer to Heaven

Hey yall, Todd here. I just wanted to take a minute and share with you some of my feelings regarding my Grandpa White. If you have any idea who this man is you know my words wont do any justice in regards to how amazing he really is. Growing up when asked the question "Who is your Hero"? Along with a few otheres I would usually respond by saying, Karl Malone, and My Grandpa White. I remember always feeling like a was standing in the presence of greatness, but not the kind of greatness as it would be to stand in front of an important Political Figure, or a Moviestar, but an inviting greatness that made me feel closer to heaven. He has left a legacy that wont be forgotten, and a lifetime of experiences and stories that will be cherished by many.

Big Boy Potty!

So I thought I would just quickly update Kayson's newest adventure....Learning to use the Big Boy Potty!! We bought him a little Sesame Street seat to go on the toilet and a stool to climb up to sit on the potty so that Kayson can start potty training. We were going to wait till at least 18 months but figured since Kayson is taking off his diaper on occasion after he pees and signs to me potty that he is ready to start. It was so cute after sitting on the potty yesterday for his first time to get familiar with it (he didn't go) he flushed the toilet, washed his hands then ran out all excited to Daddy and signed potty!! I am so proud of my little man and can't wait till he starts to catch on with how to make his pee pee go in the toilet!

Sorry it's been a while since we last posted...who would have known staying at home would keep me so incredibly busy?? But I sure do LOVE it!! Here is an update on some stuff we have been up to this month..

Kayson loves playing in his little pool outside! He loves filling up the water with the hose himself, splashing Lola and eating popsicles in the pool.

Did I mention he also loves swimming outside in his birthday suit??

Here is Kayson doing another thing he loves...running around naked! He will always take off his diaper while swimming or whenever he is just outside without pants and run around.

July 2nd we went to the West Bountiful park with my family for fireworks. Kayson had so much fun running around with his cousins!

Almost time for fireworks...Kayson was not so happy he couldn't run around anymore finding people to give him cotton candy! At first he was terrified of the fireworks but after about 5 or 6 of them he was ok with them.

July 3rd we went and saw the West Bountiful parade with my family. My mom went extra early to get us such great seats! The clown stopped just for Kayson to make him a really cool squiggly balloon.

As you can see all the kids just love uncle Todd!

After the parade we went back to the park for a carnival. After all the excitement and the heat Kayson passed out in the car!

We were also able to go to the last Blaze game of the season...BIG thanks to Amos and Jessica for such awesome tickets!!! We were extremely worried that Kayson would be bored and try to run around the whole time, so we went and bought him a new backpack (ok ok it's a leash) and he loved it! Also to our surprise Kayson LOVED the game and sat in my lap the entire 3 hours! This picture doesn't show his excitement cuz he is way too cool to have his picture taken.

Brodie got to stand right up next to the field the whole game and loved it! All the different mascots would come up and stand by him. He had such a blast!

Daddy let Kayson help him make cookies. Kayson loves to cook with us. He is very good as stiring anything we need mixed, and in this case he is also very good at sneaking cookie dough!

We had so much fun at Todd's family reunion. Kayson did the fish pond and got a cool ball. Todd's parents also did a cotton candy machine which is now Kayson's new favorite! He ate so much cotton candy that day lol..

Lola

We are so excited that we have the newest addition to our family home! This is Lola! She is a 6 1/2 week old pure bred English Bulldog! She is so cute! We got lucky, not only is she the cuttest one but also out of all the pups she is the calmest! Kayson just loves her! He is working on how to be soft while petting her and doesn't like when she comes towards him, but that will take some getting used to.

Here is Lola scarfing down her first meal at home! She had her entire head smashed into that bowl trying to eat and got food all over her face. Luckily she knows how to clean herself and just rubs her face all over the grass.

Skyler's Surgery

Yesterday my nephew Skyler went in for another surgery. So today Kayson and I went up to Primary Children's to visit him. We arrived just in time for Dora and Spongebob! Kayson loved that Dora was there and even started saying Spongebob! He was fine at a distance but once we walked him closer or they looked his way he got scared. But after a while of just sitting there he wanted to get down and be a little more brave and walk in their direction to get a closer look. He would do it ever so slighly though and turn and run if they looked at him. After about 45 minutes of hanging out with them we went back to Skyler's room to give him his present. Kayson got him a bubble gun and some Toy Story gummies. They had so much fun jumping on his bed, blowing bubbles and running around the hospital and hiding. Get well soon Skyler we love you so much!

Chuck E Cheese and Fun Times

For Skyler's birthday on the 13th we got to go to Chuck E Cheese with the family. It was a lot of fun! We were trying to win a ton of tickets for the birthday boy so we were runnin around playin all the games :) Kayson had a lot of fun, we thought he would be so scared to sit next to Chucke in the picture car but he actually loved it. He was just as excited running around with everyone playing all the games. We also went to the Kangaroo Zoo by our house that day which we thought was so fun but not so much Kayson.. He was terrified of all the stuff but like the trooper he is (i.e. mom making him) he went down the big slides.. The next day we were able to welcome our newest addition Brodie into our home. Kayson absolutely loves having him live with us and wants to follow him everywhere and do what he does. Brodie also loves playing with Kayson, it's cute to see them playing together.

Last weekend we headed up to Todd's family cabin in Tabiona. We went up friday night and then saturday we helped clean up the yard and played in the river. kayson really loved playing in the river with the boys. His cousin Justus came up with the idea of building a bridge across to the other side of the river, so that's exactly what the boys did. It was a lot of fun getting back up there and enjoying time with family.

I know its a little late but we are finally posting about Kayson's Birthday party! We just got the internet so it makes it a whole lot easier to blog! YAY! Anywho...Kayson's party was so much fun! He loved having his friends and family come and celebrate with him. We ended up having it at the church because our clubhouse ended up being reserved. It turned out really good too!! His theme was "Ball" this kid LOVES to play with balls, and balloons, so we made that his theme.

Valentine's Day Masacre

Every year 97.1 ZHT and Fox 13 news do a cake dive called the Valentine's Day Masacre. Its an event where 97 women dive into 1 cake to try and find the grand prize (a diamond ring). I was one of those women today! It was so crazy but so much fun! We got to the Valley Fair mall at 7am and waited until 7:45 when we got to dig in. I had to pretty much use all my strength to stay up and not get trampled haha. There were girls flying everywhere and climbing on top of me and sitting on my legs. The cake also shortly after diving in turned to pure dough! Ugh! I even heard some girls were eating the cake as they were digging! Gross!! (Let me remind you that there were not only feet and hands in this cake but entire bodies, gum, glasses and socks!) Sadly I did not find any of the prizes but still had a good time! I will totally do it again! Here are some pictures that I got off of 97.1 ZHT.com. I was also on the news, they showed me quite a bit. Im so glad Todd suggested I sign up for this! 2 Years!

So Monday was our 2 year Anniversay! I can not believe it's already been 2 years since I married the love of my life! So we weren't planning on doing anything too fancy (or so I thought). So as I'm getting in my car after work I noticed my new dress and shoes sitting on my seat with a note saying, "Put this on, no questions asked." I was a little freaked out at first cuz I did not see Todd anywhere. So after trying to call Todd to see what was going on and him saying just go I finally went into work and changed. When I came out Todd was standing by the car waiting for me. So he took me out to dinner at the Melting Pot. (Their fondue, cheese and chocolate, is AMAZING!!) It was so fun to be all dressed up and go to a nice place. After that I thought we were going to go pick up Kayson from his parents house but Todd said he wanted to drive around for a bit in Salt Lake. He told me we were going to go see Elizabeth Smart's house haha! So while I'm thinkin we are on the hunt for her house he pulls in to the Anniversary Inn. I totally thought he was joking cuz come on it was Monday night and I had to work the next day! But nope he was dead serious... So we got to spend the night there! It was also our first night away from Kayson, which was pretty hard for me! But all in all it was such a wonderful anniversay! Thank you so much Todd!! It was the best night with the best person! I love you so much! Happy Anniversary!!

This has been such a fun and eventful December! Kayson took his first step on my birthday, turned 10 months old, had his first Christmas and to top off his first step took 4 steps in a row today!! Kayson is getting so big I can hardly believe it! He has just recently had a big growth spurt and is looking more and more like a toddler instead of my little baby! He says Mama, Dadda, ball, doggie, teddy, Skyler and babba. He is not a big fan of his baby food anymore so he now eats whatever we eat and LOVES it! Kayson loved opening all his presents! He unwrapped most of his presents pretty much by himself. His favorite toy I have to say was his baby doll. I don't care what anyone says, Im glad my little boy has a baby doll!! Santa brouhgt him some pretty neat things and I can't wait to do this again!

On Christmas Eve we went and looked at the lights at Temple Square. It was alot of fun but very cold! Kayson was all bundled up and warm and loved looking at all the lights.

Last night Kayson slept through the night for the FIRST time! He has never done that! He went from 9:00 to 5:30, then just sat in his crib playing until 6!! We are soo excited! It has made such a huge difference switching to Soy formula!

9 Months!!

Yesterday Kayson turned 9 months!! Can you believe it?? I surely can't! He is such a big boy! He went to the Dr. for his 9 month apointment and weighs in at..... 23.6 lbs and is 28 3/4 inches! Some of his accomplishments are:

eating table foods (he loves bread and mashed potatos)
pulling himself up on EVERYTHING and walking while holding on
walking with his walker
has two cute teeth

We also found out that he is allergic to milk so he has to be on soy formula now. I can already see such a big improvement on how he is feeling! He still has a bad cough and a bad buggery nose but the Dr. said that should clear up within a couple weeks! We just love our little bug so much and are so glad he is in our family!!

So I think Kayson has a milk allergy!! We switched him from his Gentlease formula to the Costco brand a couple weeks ago and Im just now putting all of his "sickness" together. For that past couple weeks Kayson has been so fussy and grumpy which is completely not like him!! He has also had a bad stuffy/runny nose, a bad cough, a blow out EVERY morning, eczema, fluid behind his ear and has not been sleeping very well. I was freaking out thinking what could be going on with him until I thought well Im Lactos Intolerant so maybe he is... So today at work Todd sent me a link of symptoms of a milk allergy and Kayson had ALL but the colic symptom!!! I feel soo bad that he has been so miserable for the past couple weeks and I didn't put it together sooner! He has his 9 month apointment on tuesday so until then Im going to switch him back to his old formula and see if that helps him feel better!!! Poor little guy!

6 Months

So on the 17th Kayson turned the BIG 6 months! He surely is a big boy! He went to the Dr. today and is 20.4 lbs and 27 inches long! He has managed to hit some pretty big milestones as well.....He can sit up all by himself, he can get up on his hands and knees without any help (he really wants to crawl but is not quite there yet...) and he is ready to start eating mashed up table food and stage 2 meats!! Yikes! He is such a funny kid, he talks and laughs all the time. His favorite thing to say is "bhaaa." He also sings along to the radio in the car lol! That has got to be the cutest thing ever! I am such a lucky mom to have such an awesome kid!!! :)

Surgery Day

This morning Kayson had his surgery. We got to Primary Childrens and got checked in at about 7:30 this morning. Then after a little wait we went back into the exam room where they checked his vital signs and made sure he was ready for surgery. They had us change him into an infant hospital gown with little pants and socks and it was off to the Pre-Op waiting room. After about an hour of waiting the Anethesialogist came and gave us some instruction then took Kays off for surgery. They started by placing a little mask over his mouth and nose to make him fall asleep. Then the Dr. placed a probe into his absess until it reached is rectum, and cut down to the probe. From there they scraped out the lining of his skin inside to clear the infection. It all went really well and they got it all cleaned out. The worst part of it all so far was him coming out of the anesthesia. The cut is pretty deep and painful, thankgoodness for Tylenol! Here are a few pictures we took throughout.

Surgery Scheduled

Kayson's absess on his bum has not been getting any better so his Dr. told us we needed to go up to Primary Childrens Hospital to have it checked by a surgeon. So my sister and I took him up there today and I guess the absess is connected to his bum therefore the infection can't heal. So they scheduled his surgery for Monday. AAAAHHH poor baby! They are going to have to cut it open and scrape out the infection in order for this to get better and go away. They will be calling us Friday to let us know the time and the instructions for that day. Cross your fingers and wish him luck!!

Summer Time Fun!

Tonight we went up to Todd's sisters house in Ogden for a family BBQ. It was tons of fun getting the family together it even included his sister Keli her husband Jacob and their CUTE little girl Addison in Flordia. We were able to use Skype to talk to them over the internet! Technology is pretty amazing these days. It was really nice to be able to see and talk to them! Tiff and David (Todd's sister and bro. in law) have a big field in their back yard where the neighbors horses roam. It was soo fun to pet and feed the horses. Kayson really liked them!

Update....

This morning we noticed Kayson's absess getting alot worse. He was getting the runs and really fussy. I took him over to my mom's house where her and my sister Crystal watch him while we are at work. Well my mom called me at work sayin he really wasn't doin well. So Todd and I got off work and rushed over there. Todd and my dad gave him a blessing, then it was off to the Instacare Kidscare to have them look at it again. It was a different Dr. this time and he said it was alot worse than what we had originally thought and that he needed to drain it. AAAHHH So he told Todd and me to hold him down and without even numbing it at all he began to cut it open. I must say this was the WORST thing by far Todd and I have EVER been through!!! He was screaming beyond bloody murder and staring at us like why are you letting him do this to me!! It was AWFUL!!! The Dr. said about 4 teaspoons of puss came out, and it was the size of a golf ball!!!! He said that was worse than most adults!!! So even though I know it had to be done, I still feel so horrible about putting my son through that pain!!!

Here is a picture of his absess after being cut open, drained and packed with gauze!! He has had the runs alot today so the gauze sticking out got poop on it!

There was sooo much blood when he drained it. It filled up the pad below him and got all over his onsie.
Here is his new anti-biotic, the gauze we have to put over it, and we also have to wash it out with Hydrogen Peroxide and water in a seringe.

Kayson is such a trooper even after all he has been through today he still decided he wanted to get down and play. He rolled over from his back to his tummy for the first time!! What a champ! He is deffinately stronger than I am!!

You did so good Kayson we love you!!

Poor Little Guy....

So on friday night up at the cabin we noticed a bump on Kayson's bum. When I changed his diaper he screamed so bad so I knew something wasn't right. Well monday night we took him into Kidscare to get it checked out. It turns out he has an absess on his toosh. Its pretty big and really painful. The Dr gave him some anti-biotics and told us to have a heating pad on it and bathe him in Epsom Salt to help draw out the infection. If it doesnt clear up on its own we have to take him in to get it drained!!! AAAHHHH she said that is the most painful thing they do there!!! They can numb the outside skin but not the inside where they would be packing it!! I really hope it clears on its own cuz I could not handle seein him in pain like that!!! Poor baby!!

4 MONTHS OLD!

Yesterday Kayson turned 4 months old!! Wow that went by too fast! He also had his 4 month check up yesterday. The Dr. said he is lookin really good! He now weighs 17.2 pounds and is 25 inches!! Ya, he is a solid boy!! He had to get two more shots as well and has not been feelin so well from them, poor little guy. Thank goodness for infant Tylenol!! He is now starting to eat Stage one foods, and loves them! He hated the rice cereal so we decided since his Dr. gave the go ahead on stage one foods we would skip the cereal. To celebrate we made cupcakes and he got to play in the frosting haha! Dont worry we didnt let him eat any of it! Here are a few pics of our little man!

As much as I would like to admit that I am not normally one to blog. Every now and again I get on here and pretend that I am Brittany so that I can update you all on what is going on in our lives. I am taking the time now, unashamed of my blogging ways and not disguising myself as Brittany because I want to Let everyone know how amazing my Wife is. I dont tell her nearly enough how grateful I am for her and the awesome person that she is. She is the most sympathetic, gracious, and beutiful girl I know. Recently Brittany has gone back to work, sacrificing so much for our family and most of all her time with our son. It has been so hard for her to do this, but she does it willingly and unselfishly for our family. Although she has sacrificed her time with our son Kayson, she makes up every moment missed the second she gets home, and Kayson is always so excited to see her and can never take his little blue eyes off of her. We are coming up on a year and a half of marriage and I am looking forward to the next eternity and a half to come. Thanks Britt!

Caves and Kidney Stones

On Saturday we decided to go hike up to the Timpanogous Cave. We were so excited to get out and be active. Little did we know how hard it would actually be! It took us about an hour or longer to hike up to the cave. It was a tough hike, but we did it! Kayson did so well walking up. We had him in our front carrier and he slept most of the way up. Once we got in the cave however he had a little bit of a harder time. He didn't enjoy being in the dark very much. The way back down he did well too, he even started laughing when I would walk and bounce him! It was a fun experience, and Im so glad we got to do it! Here are the pictures we took along the way!

On Sundy during church, I started having really bad pains in my left side and back. After about a half hour of tryin to ignore the pain I couldn't handle it anymore and went and pulled Todd out of class. After seein how much pain I was in he rushed me to the ER at LDS Hospital thinkin maybe my appendix was bursting. When we got there they put me on some morphine, did a CT Scan and discovered that I had a Kidney Stone in my left Kidney 6mm! They then gave me some pain meds and sent me home to pass it. I have never had a kidney stone before, and Ill tell you what, it hurt worse than bein in labor!! Ouch!

3 Months

On Sunday Kayson turned 3 months old! WOW I really can't believe it! The past few months have been so much fun, I love every single minute I get to be with Kays! Here are a few pictures of the past month.......

Kayson LOVES his hands! Any chance he gets he is trying to put his fists in his mouth. I have tried to get him to try just sucking on his thumb but he wont, it's gotta be the WHOLE thing!

Kays sure loves his naps.. Lately he has been opening his eyes while he is dead asleep. (fully open like he is staring at you) Its hilarious!

I went back to work 5/12 and was havin a hard time. So Todd surprised me when I got home he had Kayson sittin by himself (propped by pillows) with a onsie that said my heart belongs to mommy, balloons, a note that said "I missed you mommy" and candy bars! So sweet!

They day before I went back to work we went on a family outing.

Kayson got to go to his first movie at a theatre! We saw Wolverine. He did sooo good! Granted he slept the whole time!

We also went to Spaghetti Mamas where he also slept haha.

My work gave us a Bumbo chair and Kayson does really well in it! He loves sitting up!

Kayson's First Baseball Game

On May 5th Kayson went to his first Baseball game. Todd Surprised us with tickets to the Bees game, Front Row!! I was so so excited! I love going to baseball games, and was even more excited to take Kayson to his very first game! We sat down the first base line, right next to all the pitchers. So before the game Lackey from the L.A. Angels was warming up so we wanted to try and get Kays in a picture with him. We had so much fun, and Kayson enjoyed it as well (until he fell asleep)

We went with Matt, Julia and Covey and just had to take a picture with the two boys together. (We held them up to make them look like they were part of the action haha) What studly little guys!

He got alot of attention walking in. Everyone was commenting on how cute he was. I must say that made me very happy!

We had so much fun I hope we can go back over the years for many more games!

Oh and speaking of firsts.............Kayson slept in his own crib for the first time that night and did GREAT!! YAY!

Blessing Day

Today was Kayson's BIG day! He was blessed by his daddy! He looked so cute all dressed in white, just like an angel! He did such a great job during his blessing, I was so worried he was going to cry and we wouldn't be able to hear his blessing but he didn't cry at all! Todd gave him such an amazing blessing. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful husband that honors his preisthood so he can give these special blessings to our children. After church we had family over for lunch. It was so good to be around everyone, and everyone brought such yummy food!

Sitting Up

These last couple days Kayson has been trying to sit up by himself. When we hold him (with him laying on his back) he tries to pull himself up. Today Todd had him try sitting up all by himself and he actually did it for a couple seconds. We are very proud of him. I can't believe he is already 10 weeks, he is getting so big!

2 Month Check Up

Kayson had his 2 month Dr. visit today. It was a little bitter-sweet. He now weighs 13 pounds 12 ounces and is 23 inches! What a big baby hehe! He is growing up soooo fast I just can't believe it! His weight is at 90 percent and his height at 50. When the Dr. came in she was talkin and tickling him so he was smiling so big at her, it was way cute! She was also very impressed with his head holding/sitting up capabilities! She said at 2 months they don't generally do that that well that they are usually at least 3 months before they do it that well! I was one proud momma! He also had to get 4 vaccinations today which was so so so sad!!! The first one wasn't bad, he got to take it orally and she said it was sugary and boy did he love eating that one! The next three were horrible! He got two shots in his left leg and one in his right. He was so sad he screamed so hard and his whole body went extremely red! As a parent there is nothing worse in this world than to see your child sad or in pain and not being able to help them! His shots have been bothering him pretty bad today so the Dr. told us to give him some infant Tylenol and it seems to have helped (thank goodness) cuz he is sound asleep on his daddy's chest!

Hopefully he feels better tomorrow so we can play outside! He is able to wear sunscreen and bug spray now so I will feel much better with him being in the sun a little bit. He just loves bein outside!

2 Months Old!

Yesterday Kayson turned 2 months old!! He is getting so so big I just can't believe it! Time is flying by so fast! He is such a little cutie, he smiles alot now and is alot more aware of his surroundings. He is also holding his head up all by himself. (He still gets a bobble head sometimes though.) He loves being outside, going for walks and bikerides. He is so much fun to have around!

Kayson absolutely LOVES his baths! Once he hears that water turn on he gets so excited! I wanted to post a video of him in his bath cuz he gets so excited he starts to march/kick usually with a fun look on his face. Today he got a little camera shy, and wasn't really doing it like he normally does. He was too interested in staring at the camera. Yesterday when I tried to get him out of the tub he started crying pretty hard, then when I put him back in the water he stopped and started kicking again! He cracks me up!

A couple of weeks ago my cousin Natalie was gracious enough to come take a couple photos of Kayson. She is just finishing up with her schooling and one of the classes that she is taking is the Studio photography class. She came with all of the lights and backgrounds that she needed to take some extraordinary pictures. So huge shout out to you Natalie!!!!

Things started out really well, Kayson sat still enough at first that we thought we were going to be able to move him and twist his little body enough to get the shot we wanted. Yeah... that did not last very long. Kayson decided that he did not want to become a contortionist, and thought to himself that food was more important than the picture. So our Photoshoot ended a little bit sooner than what we has initially wanted, but none the less Natalie captured some amazing picks. Hope you all enjoy these pictures as much as we have.

One Month Old!

On Tuesday Kayson turned One Month Old!! I can't believe it! He is growing up soooo fast, this last month has just been a blur. He eats all the time and has gotten a little chunky haha! He is so much fun to be around. He loves to just sit and stare at us. He is starting to hold his head up on his own, and each day it seems like he can hold it up longer. He got his daddy's eye color and they are very blue! On Wednesday he was just lookin around at us and started laughing! He has the cutest laugh ever!!

Dr. Visit

Kayson had his 2 week Doctors visit on wednesday! He is just getting soooo big! He now weighs 8 pounds 14 ounces and is 20.5 inches long! He has gained almost 2 pounds in 2 weeks!! Im not surprised though he eats like crazy haha! The Dr. said he looks really good and his jaundice is clearing up! YAY!! We just LOVE being parents, he makes us laugh so much! I can't wait for his 2 month apointment to see how much he grows!!

One Week Old

Wow I can't believe Kayson is already one week old! Time has gone by sooo fast! This past week has been the BEST EVER!! He is such a good little baby!! He sleeps all the time and only cries when he is hungry. We LOVE having him here with us! Its so crazy, we waited soo long for him to be here and now he is and we couldn't be happier! Here are a few pictures of our first week as a new family!

Kayson had a level of 14 so the on call Dr. wanted him on the Billibed to make sure his levels didn't go up any higher. It was so sad seein him on that bed all strapped in. He would get soo hot and all sweaty so we were a little worried about him being on the bed, so they let us use the Billiblanket instead. As of yesterday his levels are about the same so they took him off of the Billiblanket. YAY!

Oh we just love this cute little man and just can't stop staring at him and giving him lots of kisses!

Kayson Todd Larson

Needles to say folks we are the proudest two people in the world. Brittany, the trooper that she is did an amazing job at bringing the best thing that ever happend to either one of us into the world. Kayson Todd Larson was born yesterday at 4:24 p.m and weighed in at an impressive 7 lbs 5 ounces, and 19 1/2 inches long. Brittany was induced at ninish, by noon she was a 3 and by 3:45 she was a seven. About thirty minutes later our lives changed forever. It was definately an overwhelming experience for the both of us. The church is true ladies and gentleman and families can be together forever, and oh how grateful we are for that.

Todd and I have been getting really excited for this little guy to come out. With the great successes of our two baby showers (thanks to friends and family) we can officially say that we are ready. Todd has worked long and hard on the room which if I may say so, looks really good!!! He is so excited to be a Daddy, and I have no doubt that he will be great! As for me I am really excited too, I cant wait to see this little guy. Todd and I are doing all that we can including going on walks, climbing up the stairs back and forth and dancing to get this baby out of me. Excited? Thats an understatement!

Todd and I went to the Dr. today and found out that our little boy is head down, and very low. :) I knew he had to be way low cuz when I walk there is so much pressure. So it was good to find out that Im not just a whimp haha. We also found out that I am dialated to 1 cm and 70% effaced!! Yippee.. I know what your thinkin 1cm is no big deal but Im way excited that I actually have started to dialate. Only 3 weeks left and we just cant wait!! We are soooo ready for this little guy to be here!!

On January 11 Todd and I celebrated our One Year Anniversary!! I cant believe we have already been married for a year! Time flies by sooo fast!! We have had a very eventful year!! It all started with our wedding then buying our first home then preparing to have a baby!! Ya we move a little fast haha! This year has been sooo much fun!! I love being married to Todd! He is such an amazing husband and is always there for me and supporting me every step of the way! We have had so much fun together! Since our anniversary was on a sunday we decided to celebrate the whole weekend! On friday after work we met at the Gateway and ate at Panda Express then went and saw 7 pounds! Then saturday for dinner we went to Texas Roadhouse! I love love love that place! It was my first time there and o my goodness was it good!! Then sunday we just hung out with each other, made french bread pizza for dinner, ate cake for dessert then watched 24!!! It was such an AMAZING weekend!! BREAKING OUT!!

So I feel like my baby is trying to break out haha!! He is kicking so much and so hard that that's the conclusion I came up with! haha! Last night as Todd and I were watching 24, he was pushing something of his (we think may have been an elbow) out of my side. It was sticking pretty far out! It was the funniest/coolest thing! I just feel bad he has to be sooo cramped in there! We just can't wait to meet him!!! Only 6 weeks left!!

Yay today I turn the big 21! I am finally an actual adult haaha or so I hear. Todd is such a sweet heart, everytime he woke up this morning he made sure to tell me happy birthday!! Plus he is stoppin by my work to pick me up and take me to lunch!! Im soo excited!! He is soo good to me! Tonight we are havin home made cheesecakes and ice cream and both our families are gonna come over! Thanks for makin today so special for me babe I love you!!

Wow it's finally here Im actually in my third trimester! I thought that would never happen haha. It's kinda weird to think that I only have 12 weeks left! I have felt like being pregnant has gone on forever but looking back it all went so fast! Im super duper excited about being in my third trimester! Even if I cant sleep at night from the pain and discomfort! (and whoever said ya start feelin better at your second trimester...Im still waitin for that one haha) Its so cool to think that there is a little boy inside me kicking my stomach and ribs and turning all around! I hope these next 12 weeks go by fast I cant wait to meet this little boy!

This is the first picture we ever got of our little baby! He just looks like a little peanut here. I was only 8 1/2 weeks here!!

Today we went in for our other ultrasound to check his heart and they tried to get a profile picture for us since last time he wouldn't let us see his face. He really didnt want to been seen I guess. This is the best one they could get. At least we got to see part of his face!! Still so cute!! This is at 25 1/2 weeks!! More than half way through, YIPPEE!!

Yesterday was so much fun!! After church Todd and I went over to my family's house to visit. We ended up staying there for like half the day just playin games! Plus its always fun going to parents and having some good home cooking!! MMMMM... Todd will claim he won every time at Egyptian War but thats not true haha we TIED twice!! Then after games, dinner, and a hair cut for Todd we rushed home for FHE with our friends in our neighborhood! We love getting together with our neighbors we always have so much fun! We had a good lesson then had refreshments and played signs! If you havent played that game you so should its a blast!!

We were tagged by our friend Luana!! Now we are to tell "where we've been", "where we are", and "where we will be". So here it goes:

20 years ago: Brittany: Well I would have been 11 months old so Im sure I was learnin how to cause all sorts of trouble for my mom haha.. Todd: I just started pre-school, I stole toys from the school and my mom made me take them back.. I was so scared!!
10 years ago: Brittany: I was 10, I played competitive soccer so that consumed most of my time. Every chance I got my friends and I were out playin some kind of sport. Ya I was a little well alot a bit of a tom boy back then haha. Todd: I was in 9th grade, I was a HUGE sports fan and right about this time we won State in Little Legue Football. The Jazz were in their prime and I was lovin every minute of it.
5 years ago: Brittany: 15 years old and in High School.. I had my learners permit and couldn't wait to get my license and be able to break away from my parents! I loved this time in in my life getting ready to date and drive! Every kids dream haha. Todd: Just graduated High School and gettin ready to go on my mission. I just got patriarchal blessing, and said good bye to my grandpa Larson for the last time.
3 years ago: Brittany: I just graduated High School and couldn't wait to get my life started! I moved to Colorado to live with my sister and had so much fun! I didn't have to have a job so I played with my three nieces all day long! Todd: Three years ago this month I got home from my mission and was a new man. I went up to start school at BYU Idaho and had so much fun. When I came back home I went back to work at Cyprus Credit Union. I was also preparing to go to Oklahoma with my friend/mission comp. for the summer to sell pest control.
1 year ago: Todd and I had been dating for 8 months and just got engaged! Todd had made a book of our relationship and was going to use it to propose to me, so he ended up having the ring for about a month before he actually proposed and I had NO IDEA! I still didn't even know what was happening while he was doing it until he got down on his knee and asked me! We were so excited to get married and very busy planning the big day! Right around this time we were doing our engagement pictures at Wheeler Farm! Todd had just started a new job at Select Health and I was a teller at Utah First.
This year: This year has been a busy year for Todd and I. We got married on January 11, and went on our Honeymoon to Vegas! We were living in a duplex in West Bountiful and loving life. In March Todd had told me he found some Condos he thinks we should live in. So I went to go look with him and fell in love with them. So in May we ended up moving in with his parents in Magna to save up some money before buying our first home in North Salt Lake. We moved into our home on July 17. We love living here and love the new friends we have made! In June we also found out we were pregnant, and last month found out were having a boy. Ya I'd say a busy year, married, house, and baby! Boy do we move fast haha!
yesterday: Yesterday was Sunday and Todd and I just relaxed all day long! I was not feelin very well in the morning so we just hung out and watched movies. We made fried won tons together. (mine were cream cheese and Todd's were filled with hamburger) We had to stick to our Sunday tradition so we watched Americas Funniest Home Videos and Extreme Home Makeover!
Today: Today was a tipical monday. We went to work. The baby was kicking up a storm today!! It was no fun driving home from work in the DARK!! When I got home Todd had made breakfast for dinner. MMMMMMM...We had hashbrowns and eggs!!! We (well Todd) talked to one of the girls that he served his mission on the video cam. It was fun seeing her!
Next year: Next year we will have a new little addition to our family! Our son is due February 24 and we can not wait to meet him and have him in our lives! We are also gonna try to go on a family vacation to see his little sister in Flordia. Todd is wanting to go back to school and finish his associates degree. He will also be turing the big 25!! Whoop whoop!

It's A BOY!!!!

Todd and I went to the Hospital today for our ultrasound and found out we are having a BOY! We are so excited! He looks healthy and weighs about one pound now! We also found out that we are two weeks ahead of what we thought we were. Our new due date is February 24, 2009! Which makes me 22 weeks instead of 20 which we thought we were! That was really exciting to hear! I loved being able to see him! They checked and measured everything! He had his little arms infront of his face so we didn't get too good of a look at his face but did see it for a second! He is a cutie if I do say so myself! He has long fingers and was kicking and squirming alot! His arms were covering his heart so we get to go back on November 14th to take a second look (she did say his heart looked very good just wanted to look more clearly around it since there were shadows from his arms.) It did kind of take us by surprise that hes a boy, Todd and I both thought for sure he would be a girl haha. I dont know how to put pictures on yet so they will have to come in a little bit, so sorry!

Kicking

Last night Todd and I were able to feel the baby kicking from the outside! It was the most amazing feeling ever! I am so glad Todd was able to feel what I have been feeling for the past few weeks! I can not wait to meet this little person squirmin around in there! We are so excited we find out what it is in exactly one week from today!

Todd and I went to the doctor today for our 16 week apointment. So far every other time we have been they do an ultrasound, so we got excited and thought we would ask to see what were having. After getting all excited we find out we don't get an ultrasound. So the little raskal is still a mystery. We go in on October 22nd and get to find out what were having though and we are so excited!!!!
